My husband was Happy Lawns only technician for 12 yrs and never had a complaint about his work, if so they would not have kept him so long. Early this year [2012] he became very ill, at first they were okay about him missing work but they had no other techs so when he did miss work he had to make up all of the work missed which just made him much sicker until he missed several days and the owners began to nit pick his work and drastically changed the parameters of the job until he was forced to quit. They gave him no severance, no vacation time nothing.1 1/2 weeks later my husband went into End Stage Renal Disease [complete kidney failure] and was so sick he spent 1 week in the hospital and is now on Dialysis for the rest of his life. He is only 57. When we needed to apply for S/S disability the owners of Happy Lawn were contacted for confirmation on my husbands last day of employment for them and they did not return the info needed for him to get the Disability, they were also contacted by Medicare and did not respond to them either. Please do not use their services and support a company that would treat their employee this way. ...read more

Just so people are knowledgeable and not misinformed. Euthanasia solution is not battery acid. It is the same sedative that veterinarians use to anesthetize animals for surgical procedures at a more concentrated dose. It puts animals in an unconscious sleep state long before it stops the heart and respiratory systems. There is no pain or agony. This is done by veterinary clinics across the country not just shelters. It is a DEA controlled substance which has strict federal regulations and must only be used by a licensed veterinary professional or euthanasia technician. BTW it is more profitable for animals to be adopted to loving homes at $100 a piece than to spend the money to euthanize. Have a nice day. ...read more
