Derby is a part of the Pickaway County region area of Ohio known for its Split Rock Golf Club and Cooks Creek Golf Club. Major attractions include the Ohio Historical Society and Green's Heritage Museum. Each year in the summer season there is the Pickaway County Fair. Among the biggest companies in Derby are Fun Factory and Pettits Incorporated. The biggest schools here are Westfall High School and Derby Middle School.
