10 Wilmington Place Retirement Community

3.0

By Sara

The place is nice, the general staff seem nice enough but the bottom line is the upper management is ONLY interested in th bottom line. They treat you like a number with a dollar sign attached - which is very diappointing. The monthly pricing is very high when compared to other facilities and they charge for everything. I would not recommend this place based on the fact they are only interested in $$$. There are quite a few stories of people "getting into" with the Executive Director because she could care less about the person. ...read more

Spring Hills Singing Woods - Assisted Senior Living Facility

3.0

By 01GERSON at Citysearch

Our Uncle, Julius Deber, passed away at Singing Woods on February 7, 2007. We received no calls or condolence messages from the management of Singing Woods. While the direct care staff did a good job, the management staff, especially the executive director, performed below average, and lacked compassion. We were surprised and hurt by their lack of compassion, and the national corporate office should be aware of the poor behavior of management staff at Singing Woods of Dayton, Ohio in Englewood, Ohio.\t\n\t\nSubmitted by:.\t\n\t\nSusan and Gerson Silver ...read more

Life Insurance Security for Dayton, Ohio Residents

Life Insurance is an extremely important policy to have to ensure the safety and future of your family should something unfortunate happen.  For a review of your insurance and financial needs, visit me atwww.allstateagencies.com/GeorgeFisher/Welcome. Life insurance: security you can bank on (ARA) - Even in the best of times, life insurancecan offer an extra measure of peace of mind in terms of helping to provide financial security. But the need for life insurance is even more significant during difficult economic times, when jobs are harder to find and dependents are in greater need of financial assistance. The current high rate of unemployment is causing consumers to re-evaluate the importance of individual life insurance coverage, with many viewing it as an essential component of long-term financial security for their families and loved ones. "People have been hit hard and aren't sure where to turn," says Mark Hug with Prudential's Individual Life Insurance business. "They see life insurance as a way to help provide stability and financial protection." Hug notes that a recent report titled Navigating Life Insurance Choices in Challenging Times issued by Prudential Financial, Inc. in September, found recent layoffs made two-thirds of consumers realize they need more insurance than their employers provide. But, 22 percent do not have more coverage beyond what they get at work and 18 percent have no coverage at all, according to the report. The discrepancy between the coverage people have and the coverage they believe they need seems to boil down to the fact that the choices in life insurance policies can be confusing. Getting started The good news is, determining your needs is not as complicated as it may first appear. When selecting a policy, consider several key things, including: * Calculating how much coverage you need.* Considering the period of time for which you need coverage to determine if term or permanent insurance is right for you.* Determining how your needs fit within an overall plan that suits your personal circumstances, your financial priorities and your budget. Understanding your optionsLike its name implies, term life insurance provides coverage for a specified "term" or period of time. It is usually less expensive than whole life or permanent insurance, especially in the early years of the policy, and can be a good option for people who want maximum coverage at minimum cost. Whole or permanent life insurance provides lifetime coverage and premiums are typically paid for as long as the policy remains in place. In addition to providing a death benefit, permanent policies can potentially accumulate cash value, which can be accessed via loans or withdrawals. Loans and withdrawals will reduce policy cash values and the death benefit and may have tax consequences. When in doubt, a combination of coverage can be a good approach to cover all your bases. A financial professional or a life insurance agent can play an important role in helping you determine what level of protection you need by evaluating present and future financial responsibilities and income, and identifying the right products to help meet those needs. When it comes to financial security, life insurance offers the kind of guarantee you can take to the bank. Of course, it's also important to note that all guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the issuing company. Why Every Policyholder Needs Umbrella Insurance in Dayton, Ohio

By Bobbie Sage, About.com Guide Today, lawsuits are everywhere. Lawyers are awarding larger amounts of money than ever. Homeowners, auto, and watercraft policies have a limit onliability insurance. If an unfortunate accident should happen that is your fault, do you have enough liability insurance from your current policies to cover your costs for negligence? Since no one can predict how much a judge may award the injured person, umbrella insurance is not just for the wealthy anymore, but a needed protection for every policyholder. Umbrella insurance is designed to give one added liability protection above and beyond the limits on homeowners, auto, and watercraft personal insurance policies. With an umbrella policy, depending on the insurance company, one can add an additional 1-5 million in liability protection. This protection is designed to "kick-in" when the liability on other current policies has been exhausted. Liability insurance is the portion of a homeowners or auto policy that pays for expenses such as the injured persons medical bills, rehabilitative therapy, and lost wages due to the negligence of the at fault person. The liability portion of an insurance policy also covers a legal defense representative if the negligence would happen to land the at fault person in the court room. After adding up all of the medical expenses for the injured and the legal fees of the negligent person, the standard liability in one's homeowners or auto policy is often not enough. Almost every state has financial responsibility laws that will hold drivers accountable for bodily injury and property damage resulting from car accidents and the at fault driver could be sued for the damage. Personal assets from the at fault driver could be seized resulting from a lawsuit. Similar laws are also in force for home and watercraft owners. There is good news. A personal liability umbrella insurance policy can give one added liability protection without a large added cost. Additional liability insurance is often inexpensive, especially compared to the added coverage one gains. Furthermore, liability insurance covers one's non-business activities anywhere in the world. Having the added protection of a liability umbrella policy is coverage no one should go without.
