I've been a regular customer for a long time, but after the way I've been treated tonight, NEVER AGAIN. I had my order taken by a woman named Misty or Missy, and to say that this woman's attitude is BEYOND nasty would be an understatement. She was very pleasant when she took my order over the phone, but that all changed, after she entered it wrong, and I called back in. She was extremely disrespectful, uncaring, combative and argumentative. The worst part of the call was when I started to explain what was wrong with my sandwich (it had cheese on it). She claimed I asked for it, and when I explained that I wouldn't do that, because I can't have it her response was, "Ok, well what do you want me to do about it." When I asked to speak to a manager, she claimed she was the manager, (which is not true), and when I asked about the owner, her tone with me got even worse, and she refused to give me the owners name. By the time I got off the phone with her, I was so upset I was shaking. I drove up there in the middle of the night to speak to a manager, and demand my money back. When I got there, her attitude towards me, was just as nasty as it was over the phone IN FRONT of the manager (Angela) and the rest of the staff (getting smart with me, rolling her eyes, etc..). I completely lost my cool. I was so angry I was almost in tears, and by the time I left she had been called every name in the book. Angela who was very nice issued a refund, swapped my drink out for the right one, and offered to re-make my food, which I declined. She also assured me that she was going to have a chat with her employee, which is of little solace to me. The fact that they would continue to employee this person, and that she was so comfortable treating me like that in front of management SPEAKS VOLUMES about this business, and their level of customer service, so now i'm off to Facebook to spread the word about this business, and I will never order from them again. ...read more

I am a local business owner in Sandusky and we used to enjoy going to the local Damons located at Battery Park on Sandusky Bay. They recently reopened and we went there today 7/19/15 for our son's birthday. Overall we were very disappointed in the food (the service was fine and the server was noticeably embarrassed and even told us that this was kind of the norm). First I ordered the Baby back ribs which comes with two sides. I usually get a double Caesar salad instead of a potato. This time they wanted to charge me $2.00 extra which is absurd for a few more leafs of romaine. I usually opt for the extra salad because I am not a frozen French fry fan and usually they have no other green veggies. I spoke with the one manager and told her and she said they had green beans. I specifically asked how they were prepared and she said they were steamed. Usually they boil them which ruins the taste. When they came out they were boiled with absolutely no seasoning. Also the ribs when served were cold. Not a good experience. Sandusky is a tourist destination. At 6 PM on a Sunday I expected they would be full. Not the case. Maybe a few tables but that was it. They should be packed at this time of the year. Once the tourists go home they will need to depend on locals for support. There was another manager, Scott. He was also very complacent about our experience as well. In conclusion, we will not be returning again and I would maybe give them a few months before they will be gone. Corporate needs to do something about this. It gives the name a black eye. We have been to several other locations and loved the food. Seems like bad attitudes and bad food go hand and hand.
