More than 10 weeks after taking a knuckle boom in for repair on the boom, we are $3,200 in the hole with no resolution. Matt in the "Service" department lacks any communication skills even at the most basic level. Good business practices dictate that you return phone calls in a timley manner, i.e. 24 hours (we would have been fine with three days) but essentially had almost no calls returned. Several options were discussed to return the truck to its original condition after dropping it off at Schodorf with no actual fixes to be done after Schordorf had the truck for over two weeks. We wanted the knuckle boom returned to a safe position in order to transport it back to our shop but Schodorf failed to do this. They first attempted to "rebuild" a pump and then ordered a new one after it "seemed" it was not feasible to "rebuild" the original pump. We did not authorize Matt to order a new pump that was around $600. Schodorf claims to be an "authorized Fassi" repair shop but that could not be further from the truth. If they were they would have had the truck working in under a month BACK to opertating condition. When we decided to share our experiance with Joe Schodorf, Joe's response was more or less "ok" and that we are stuck with the bill because it is what it is... 10 weeks is unacceptable to have our equipment and return it to us in worse condition than when it was dropped off. The other issue is that we have $2,100 in labor but have no idea how long they actually worked or what they actually acomplished which was nothing. I've had Swiss Heating & Air for years now. I've the insurance policy with them where if something goes wrong, they come right away to fix it for me. They provide everything for the furnace during the winter, and they come to check on my air conditioning unit in the spring and summer. They come out to fix it without any problems, and their service is always terrific. ...read more
