MY Project USA is a nonprofit organization fighting against human trafficking, drugs, gangs etc. on the Westside of Columbus. We work with refugees youth and families. We distribute food to hundreds of families on weekly basis. We needed some outdoor signs for our store. We placed our order to JAR Graphics. It took a long time for them to get things done. They finally brought it the signs on Friday. The total order was about $3300. We have already paid themmore than $2600. On Friday morning I had meeting with some City officials about the refugee issues. I asked Andrea, if I could pay her later. She said of course. She and back on Saturday morning. The staff told her to come back after noon. She didn't come back. We got crazy busy due to the presidential order of banning refugees for so many Muslim countries and detentions on the airport. On Monday morning at 8:30 am she sent us an email that the signs are being removed. We are shocked by such un professional behavior. We have already paid her the most amount. We have been serving her lunch and drinks every time she visits us. We had offered her more marketing opportunities by promoting her business at our dinner. After all of that removing the signs before the start of the first business day of the balance due is simply crazy. She is now forcing us to pay her more for some charges that she never mentioned or got approval of in the first place. She might have been doing it because we are a Muslim organization serving refugees and other poor neighbors. We see it as a very unprofessional, unacceptable behavior. Ours is a community organization run by charity dollars, we will not pay her forced charges or extra charges for re-installment. We are filing complaints with the business bureau.
