Complaint Regrading: Kafe' Karouac: Location: 2250 North High Street Phone Number: (614) 299-2672 Review: Located in the heart of the o.s.u. campus, [at Patterson & North High Street] for the convenience of the o.s.u. collegiate student & campus lizards, [at large] they don't seem to be too overtly friendly to potential black male patrons, & take every effort to chase you off at every opportunity.... Or at the very least, two persons of interest concerning this "coffee house", will: 2 people, who seem to be engaging in an all out & out effort to drive away black male patrons.... One, is an illegal asian [female] immigrant, [posing as a barista] by the name of Taun Sanka; [If that is even her real name] The other, is the owner of the "coffee house", a Mike Heslop.... Regardless, of how many races & cultures make the o.s.u. what it is today, [heritage, race, & culture wise] that nearly inundate the neighborhoods of the campus area, [a mass majority of them being attending students hailing from numerous overseas countries] when it pertains to american black males of the campus, there are always some subtle act(s) of racism to occur; And more so, when you're a black male, making a vain attempt to patronize any on campus independently owned & operated business... This independently owned & operated "coffee house" for instance, thinly disguises it's racism; Implying, [should you be a black male] "that your not wanted", if you don't tip, don't smell good, [what kind of freak would be going around smelling people, anyway?] or act "creepy".... Many of the anglo american males & anglo american female patrons of this so called dive coffee house, [be they campus students or not] meet any & all of the a fore mentioned criteria to be banned from such a place; But no negative actions are ever taken to discourage their patronage...... Why?!?!?!?.. ["You know "why"] The fact is, regardless, of what you may do, [right] as a black male, to try & belong to such a place, you will NEVER belong, no matter how hard you try.... A business such as this one, [that is] owned & operated by a anglo colored male, or even anglo colored female, who writes his & or hers own rules, as to whom he or she does and doesn't not want as a customer, controls as to whom he or she wants & doesn't want to patronize his and or her business, when it pertains to race...... Finding subtle & technical "excuses", to prevent you from patronizing them any further.... Sad, but true..... To expose such a individual, [and or individuals] is to incur their wrath, [be it an anglo colored male, or even anglo colored female] who are the independent owner & or owners of said business... Such wrath will always manifest itself, all due in part that you have exposed the ugly truth about a ugly part of a business, [and our country] which simply should not exist any further, but does..... [Which is:] Racism; A negative & ongoing component, [still] congruent in america society, & of which, is still persistent, & still going unresolved, due to a false belief, of who is superior, race, & intelligent wise...... [And it is not the anglo race, regardless, of what their past conquest may imply] To the mater at hand; For a better experience, pertaining to a more positive "coffee house" experience, [even if they all may be corporate owned] on, or even "off campus", I suggest the following restaurants: * White Castle * Dunkin Donuts * Giant Eagle [Yes, some of them even have wi-fi] * Targets * Starbucks * Burger King * Five Guys Burgers And Fries * Buckeye Donuts * Subway There may be even some Somalian & even Ethiopian smoke houses, [in the short north] that may have wi-fi, but a purchase must be made..... In ending, I hope that this post may be of help & resource to black males more so, who find themselves not being desired as patrons to any [independently owned & operated] coffee house, & or business like "Kafe K.K.K.
