Wild Mountain Blueberry Kcup Review
Every Friday at Cross Country Cafe we host a flavor review. Most of these reviews are done by a coffee expert sometimes they will be done by yours truly (I am not quite an expert… yet!). I love posting these reviews for you because lets face it the selection of K-cups we have to choose from is huge, how do you pick the right one? Who wants to buy an entire box and not like it?! Our goal is to describe how the coffee tastes so that you can determine if it suits your preferences. Lets get to todays review; Green Mountain Blueberry Kcups. The sweet flavor of juicy sun-kissed blueberries, baked to perfection in a buttery crust. It’s Fair Trade, too! Blueberry flavored coffee??!! Oh yes, and it is delicious! If you are anything like me you probably would avoid such an off the wall combination. I am so glad I finally tried it. They should actually rename this coffee Blueberry Pie. The butter aromas and taste combined with hints of blueberry’s and cream make this coffee to die for. Add a dash of milk and you have a little slice of heaven! This coffee is also Fair Trade certified which is a subject I have been meaning to talk about and will post about next week. I am an adamant endorser of Fair Trade products. When you are drinking your favorite cup of coffee seldom do you think of the entire village you are supporting with the purchase of that product. This can be a good or a bad thing depending on the company. I have visited Green Mountain and can tell you first hand, they are all about supporting the farms and villages where our coffee originates. After all, the better you treat the farmer, the better the coffee is they produce. Quality farmers= quality coffee. Ok, I am rambling, tune in for that post next Thursday. Let’s read a review by one of our favorite coffee bloggers about Blueberry Kcups (she was just as skeptical as I was): I never imagined that blueberry and coffee would be a good combination. I was even hesitant to try this cup for that very reason, but I did try it and I am glad that I did! When this brews you can smell the lovely blueberries, but it is not just the aroma of blueberries in this coffee, the flavor of them has been infused with the coffee as well. It brings out the earthy richness of the beans, but gives it a lighter fresher feel. There is almost a sweetness to this coffee even though there is no sweetener added. Over at Cross Country Cafe, I learned that this KCup is also Kosher Certified, and a Fair Trade coffee as well!Normally I am not a big “flavored” coffee person, I have to be in the mood for even a caramel or vanilla flavored coffee bean, so I was surprised that I enjoyed the Wild Mountain Blueberry. I still have to be in the right mood for my flavored coffee, but I am glad to find a flavor that is more than just a vanilla or a caramel to enjoy! Are you convinced? We have even better news… a little birdie told me that they may be going on sale next week! Check in on Wednesday to see if they were right! ...read more
