The Esquire, in tandem with The Mariemont, are the sole surviving 7-day-a-week theaters in the Cincinnati Metro area (population 2 million+) that show art house films. And 50% of what plays there is mainstream commercial. A sad commentary on the state of Indie/Art House film in this area. They Used to be located inside the Eastgate Mall. But they ran out of room and now have a much bigger and better location. This is a small theater that was just built at the end of 2008. Its seats are new and comfortable and the movies look good but there are always too many highschool kids around. Where are their parents? ...read more
