Danbarry Cinemas Movie Line

1.0

By Jonathan X at Citysearch

The newspaper ads, website and even reviews here were misleading. I'll make it clear- movies cost $10 here, other than some bargain days and matinees. There are NO MORE $3 MOVIES. Found this out the hard way. If you are going to blow $10 on a movie , go to a nice theater, not this dump. ...read more

Opened Nov 2010, owned by TMC which runs the Esquire and Mariemont. This is NOT an art house cinema like the other two. They show the same mainstream stuff playing at all of the area multiplexes. Too bad. ...read more

Riverbend Music Cntr

By CBJFan at Citysearch

This was my first time at Riverbend, and was not impressed!\t\nMy first impression was it was going to be a great night. Very cool along the River, and parking and traffic was not an issue. But once inside, if you have lawn seats you need to get there early! Many spots are obstructed view, and cant see a thing!\t\nThe facilities are also terrible. We spent the whole intermission in line for the bathrooms! Not near enough for the large crowds! People were getiing tossed out because they were going behind the facility. You gotta go, you gotta go! Beverage lines were also terrible. Not near enough to handle the crowds!\t\nProbably will not return! ...read more

Pepsi Revamps Giving Contest

Pepsi Revamps Giving Contest in Bid to Reward Small Groups January 31, 2011,10:10 am PepsiCo is reorganizing its year-old, $20-million Pepsi Refresh charity competition, with several changes geared toward steering more of the prize money toward community and grass-roots organizations, according toThe Wall Street Journal. The beverage giant will eliminate the top $250,000 award in its monthly contest, which allocates grants based on online voting; increase the number of $50,000 grants; reduce from 10 to five the number of causes voters can select each day; and drop the environmental and health categories, which attracted alliances of groups that dominated the balloting. The company says the changes are designed to infuse greater democracy into the selection process, which has been marred byallegations of vote-rigging and manipulation. While drawing tens of millions of votes and extensive media coverage, Pepsi Refresh has yet to translate into bigger business for the company, which saw sales slip 9.8 percent in the first three-quarters of 2010.Pepsi's bet on the charity contest as a major marketing and promotion tool is reflected by the firm's absence from last year's Super Bowl, marking the first time in 23 years the company eschewed advertising during the football championship, writesThe New York Times. ...read more
