I didn't purchase my glasses from this office simply because I felt I could do better price wise else where, plus I felt their selection was very limited. However, I LOVED the eye doctor at this office. I've had several eye exams over the years but I never really felt like any of the doctors had gotten my prescription exactly right. With this doctor he seemed to really take his time in fitting my needs, taking the time to make notes, checking my old glasses and of course the trying different lens in that machine thingy... I just picked up the glasses he prescribed and I can't begin to say how happy I am... I can see better then I've seen in 15 years! (before I needed glasses!!) I plan on always seeing this doctor from here on, and will send my family to him :) yes, I posted twice.. because I hit 5 starts and this site only gave 4.... soooooo LOL ...read more

Wichard Oil

In Bethel, OH, Wichard Oil is well known among locals for having everything your car needs, from parts and lubricants to gas and propane. But it all started back in 1932 when Ed Wichard left his job at Ford Motor Company and opened a service station to pump gas, check the oil, and put air in tires. Ed eventually expanded his business to meet the demands of the market—he started selling car accessories and even dabbled in fuel delivery. Now Wichard Oil—which is managed by two of Ed’s grandchildren, Mark Wichard and Sue Church—has transformed into a one-stop shop for your car. Wichard Oil still checks your oil, pumps your gas, and puts air in your tires like it did when the shop first opened its doors, but the company also does much more. In addition to car maintenance services, the local business sells new and reconditioned batteries, and even retails residential and commercial mowers. The shop also sells tires, bottles of propane, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, seasonal car accessories, and is an authorized dealer for PJ Trailers, Carry-on trailers, and HDX. There’s nobody else in the area quite like Wichard Oil, and there is certainly nobody else with Wichard's level of experience. For all your car and gas needs, contact Wichard Oil at (513) 734-2266, or visit thewebsite to see the shop's inventory. It takes a special level of know-how to stay in business for over 80 years, and Wichard Oil clearly has what it takes. ...read more

Why business owners are still overpaying to accept credit cards!

Like many of you I used to believe that if I wanted to accept credit cards I had little to no choice in how much of my sales went to the credit card processing company. Well to some degree that was absolutely true and still is today, however recent changes to banking laws under the Frank-Dodd legislation changed the face of the industry forever. Specifically the Durbin amendment addressed some of the costs associated with card acceptance and payment processing and set limits on the amount that banks and processors could charge for many of the most common transactions seen by most businesses.     So where is the savings we were all anticipating?  Simply put you have to demand it! The new rules only required the rates be capped at the bank level and those savings were never required to be passed on to the merchants who stood to benefit from the savings. In fact in many cases rather than passing the savings on to the small businesses that needed it most in our current economy the processing companies just pocketed the extra profit! The good news is you can and should take advantage of the savings Durbin offers.Often times you will need to change processors, because your current processor has you under contract  and  would rather NOT give away this new win fall. Also be aware that Durbin did NOT require any processor to offer the savings at all, however the industry is highly competitive and that naturally dictates that a new processor may offer the lower rates in order to win your business.     I personally no longer own my small retail store, but after being taken to the cleaners by a less than honest sales rep for a processor I will not mention by name, I became interested in how it all works. That led me to become a sales rep for a large company that unfortunately was part of the problem, no tthe solution. That experience led me to search high and low in the hope that there was at least one company in the game that was genuinely concerned about the businesses they serve. My search nearly ended with me quitting the industry all together. Folks there are a lot of dishonest players in the game and I had almost resigned myself to the possibility that the entire game was crooked!      Alas thanks to the internet after months of relentless research and countless hours I found a company that was as concerned about the health and well being of small businesses as I am! North American Bancard gave me the opportunity to offer better rates, better service and free equipment! Yep I finally a company that did not want me to sell a $2400 lease on  credit card terminal worth $250. Think about it if you lease a terminal for $50 a month  for 48 months, you will have paid $2400 for that machine and to ad insult to injury you will either have to buy the machine at the end of the lease term or renew it every 12 months indefinitely. I like some of you always thought that was just how it had to be. Not anymore! to learn how much you are overpaying visit my web site at www.getnabnow.com       ...read more
