This organization has lost its way. In the past year, they're on their third executive director. The first was fired. He was replaced by a board member who voted on his own salary and then hired on his wife. Stewart's then replaced him with their current ED John King who divorced God when he left the Catholic Priesthood to marry. Over the past year, volunteers have left, participants have been neglected, and the mission of the Stewart's has been lost. As a former donor, I'm still waiting for the donations I made to go where I earmarked them instead of being misappropriated to "general funds." There is time for everything under the sun. A time of retirement will come for the office worker in government establishment as well as for those that find themselves in the industrial sector. There are folks out there who are gifted by nature with long life. As the years roll on, the energy and vigor that was once part of the once bubbling life will begin to leave gradually. The law of diminishing return in life will begin to set in. Life Can Be Tough For The Elderly When we consider the fast tempo at which life around us is moving, one would not but agree that the elderly cannot cope with the pace of things. These set of people have contributed greatly to the developments during their productive years; now that the energy of the youth has left them; it will be unfair if we allow them to fall victim of the system which they have helped to build in the first instance. So where do we move to from here? They Need Special Attention The state of the elderly in some countries of the world calls for special attention. In most countries, some of them have been neglected and reduced to the state of begging to get their needs. There are two stages in life; a stage that is full of vigor-the productive years. There is yet another stage that is begging for help-the dependent years of life (it happens with old age). There is the need for special attention for the senior citizens. There Are Villages For The Elderly Around The best bet to protect the interests of the elderly among us to take them away from the rush of the ordinary society. There is no way for them to cope with the mad rush going on around them. So if we want them to age gracefully and have that sense of belonging to the society around them, then we should create a village devoted to them where the pace will be structured in a way that suits them.
