My wife and I were new to Syracuse 6 years ago. When my Mom and Dad came to visit with their sick dog Fritz. During their stay, Fritzi passed away. My wife had NO IDEA where to have him cremated. Our vet suggested Pet Haven Animal Cemetery.\t\n\t\nWhat an AWESOME place! The care and understanding the staff had for each member of my family was remarkable!\t\n\t\nWhen my wife and I lost our beloved Pomeranian Emily Sue after 13 years, we went straight to Pet Haven. I was able to see first hand the respect, and kindness the staff showed for our huge loss. If we needed ANYTHING they were there to accommodate us.\t\n\t\nThis has been a horrendous year for us. We just lost our cat "Rocky" on Sunday. I immediately called Pet Haven after hours, and they responded VERY FAST first thing on Monday. I was able to drive "Rocky" right down there Monday morning, and then have him cremated in a private service this morning (Tuesday).\t\n\t\nMy wife and I wouldn't go ANYWHERE ELSE.\t\nAMAZING STAFF, AMAZING SERVICES. If you have a beloved pet that dies, please take my advice and do NOT go to PHC. My chihuahua died at 2 years old and it was the worst day of my life, I brought her into Pet Haven and the receptionist said "Oh, there's nothing wrong with her"...she assumed I would bring a breathing dog into a pet cemetery to be cremated by appointment, this was upsetting to us. In that same visit, the receptionist was all jokes and laughs with another woman, this was very offensive and hurtful. We picked up our dog a day later and the certificate spelled our name wrong, even though they held the correct version. We went back and told them so they said they would send the correction in the mail but it never showed. 2 weeks later I called and asked what was happening, the lady only said "I don't know". She asked for info again so I told her that I already gave it to them twice, she said she didn't have it and I asked why... she said "I don't know". Incompetent AND insensitive?
