Stuyvesant is a part of the Upper Hudson Valley region of New York, midway between the city of Hudson and Albany, known for its bucolic setting and outdoor activities. It is one of only two designated "agricultural communities" in Columbia County, with lots of open, productive farmland, orchards and woodland, and most residential building clustered in the hamlets of Stuyvesant Falls and Stuyvesant (formerly Stuyvesant Landing) . Ferry Road, at the south end of town and See Park, in The Landing, provide the only public access to the Hudson River between the City of Hudson and Castleton. The historic Railroad Station, also located in The Landing, is currently in the midst of a restoration into a community center and activities building. Major attractions include Hollow Road Farms and Joyce's Country Kitchen. Other companies in Stuyvesant include Adherence Consulting Group and Summerset Landing. The Ichabod Crane Central School District is rated as one of the best in Columbia County. One of the best places to visit when you are in Stuyvesant is Riverview Cafe.
