Please be aware when reading these website reviews. There have been several erroneous, bad reviews, that we believe were posted by a former employee out to ruin our reputation. These reviews have been removed repeatedly, but they are often reposted. They are clearly fictitious and very dramatic, and they are posted under the names of Marie G. (or MARIE GIGLIOTTA), Anthony P. (or ANTHONY PASSERELLI or VIVA PASSERELLI, Georgi Z., Dh B, Joey D., and Petr T (or PT). We have three locations on Staten Island. These clowns are in the business of taking your cash. That's all they want. They gave us the wrong stone with the wrong art. We were poorly treated. I went online myself to give you my opinion. WATCH OUT! These guys are VERY SMOOTH TALKERS! Really Smooth. They sit you down and very slowly negotiate. Real slow. Real methodical. They charged us more than others. We paid over $1000 more than we should have. They were all too friendly until we gave them the check. Once they were paid, they acted like they didn't know us. Once they take your $$$ you will most likely get screwed. For more than 30 years, my step brother was a police officer. He loved the force and the respect he received among fellow cops was amazing. He also got a few commendations. We are an extremely close Italian family we and all loved him. He was the perfect father and husband for any family. When he suddenly died suddenly. we were devastated. Especially his wife and 2 teenage kids. We chose 'Resurrection Monuments' (a.k.a. Staten Island Monuments) to do the stone. We found out later these clowns have ALOT of business names (including Staten Island Monuments, Artists Memorial, Moravian Monuments, Amboy Monuments some pizza place and some construction business). I wish we checked them out first (like citysearch and other sites). We would have turned right around and left, or not gone to see then in the first place. As a retired businessman, and have been around long enough to know that a company with many names means they usually are a very shady operation. These goons are no exception. In the end, these morons took forever, I mean forever to produce the monument (close to a year). When they did, they screwed up the gravestone. The artwork we wanted was not what we specified. Neither was the stone itself. We repeatedly asked Robert Flood for some money back, we got: zip, nada, nothing.. He avoided our calls as often as he could. Like I said, these guys are more interested in making a quick buck than taking care of families. They hope you'll forget your loved one or die yourself. If you are reading this, then take the advice of a retired businessman .......... When you drive past their offices, keep on driving. Today's economic downtrends have made it harder to plan the perfect wedding without taking out a loan to finance the event. Brides and Grooms are saving a period of 2 to 3 years to create their perfect wedding day. However, with our expertise and knowledge of the wedding business brides and grooms can plan their perfect wedding without a million budget. Here are some suggestions 1. Sit down and list the number of vital people that must be out your wedding ( exclude friends of a friends 3rd cousins, you don't know them and you'll probably put them at the kids table). 2. Set a budget first then start the process of looking at places ( Remember weddings on Fridays and Sundays are less expensive and off months Jan Feb Nov. are negotiable) 3. A $15,000 Band is nice but can you really afford it. DJ's are the best way to go ( More variety of music, Great Video presentations, and good lighting for a fraction of the price( $1000 - $3000) 4. Don't hire a party planner. A good entertainment company with experience has all the contacts of good professionals for cars, videotaping, photography, floral arrangements and can save you time and lots of money. 5. Don't plan a wedding in the south of France if you can't afford it. There are beautiful places here in the NYC / NJ area that can create that effect at a cost that won't make your party expensive. 6. Consider a Cocktail Party wedding for 4 hours instead of a sit down dinner. Please like to eat light these days and perphaps this is a way you can afford a upscale location.
