My first encounter with the Amari folks was okay. The marking of placement of the CoolSculpting machine was wrong and so I now have a smooth lower belly but still fatty deposits are visible on the upper belly. The right placement would have been treatment on the left side of my abdomen and on the right side of my abdomen. Now I must pay for 3 treatments in total. Also I had planned on going back for some additional treatment but I was told it would take 4 hours as opposed to the advertised two hours. Very strange and unexpected. It seems it takes two hours to mark up the areas that I want treated and two hours for treatment. The staff not interested in working advertised business hours. And this came from the top! The front and support staff at Amari clinic are extremely friendly and accommodating. The facility is state of the art and aesthetically pleasing. That is the only nice thing I can say. After dealing with Amari, I felt bamboozled and taken advantage of. In fact it was almost like a thief being extremely friendly as he’s taking you for everything that you have. The program is ridiculous and extremely expensive. Ironically I went there for the B-12 injections and walked out signed up for a 1600.00 twelve week diet. I was informed that this was the only way that they give the injections. I was also fed a good story about hormonal issues being the cause of my lack of weight loss despite attempts in the past with low call diets. I had a lipodissolve treatment performed on my abdomen and flanks by Dr. Shah in the summer of 2008. To this day, I have painful bumps underneath my skin in random areas where the injections were made. My skin has remained knotted in several areas as if it is rippled almost and it looks horrible! I do not recall Dr. Shah forewarning me about anything that would cause such negative effects. I have seen several dermatologists regarding the issue and have been told it is an after effect from the lipodissolve procedure. I feel very betrayed and outraged. I am embarrassed by this and over 4 years later I have negative effects from the treatment! I paid approximately $1,500 just for the abdomen and flanks. After that procedure, I was conned into charging an additional $2,500 in extra services which I was finally refunded for after I decided this was not for me.
