My first visit to Boris' was a complete and welcomed surprise - best haircut that I could remember in many years. The gentleman who cut my hair was tall, thin and very meticulous - unfortunately, I didn't get his name. When I returned for my second visit he apparently was off that day. Needing only a trim I decided to stay and have one of the other barbers take care of that for me - I should have left and waited for him another day. Luck of the draw landed me in the only female "barbers" chair that day. I was very clear that I just wanted a trim and not too short. The result was what amounts to a crew cut, and a horrible one at that. It's hard to describe the level of incompetence that this chop job conveys. I have been forced to start wearing a cap, which I have never done before, and am seriously considering shaving my head. I would have been better off giving a pair of scissors to a blind person and having them hack away. Without a doubt the worst haircut I have ever gotten. STAY FAR AWAY from Salon Tres Chic, in Sayville. Not only did they DESTROY my hair, but the salon owner is beyond unprofessional and rude!! I wrote a review online regarding my experience and she called me at 10pm when I was sleeping, about my review. I went in asking for a full highlight and for some reason to "stylist" turned my hair dark dark brown with random streaks of brassy orange/red. I also asked for about a 1/2 inch to an inch to be trimmed off my hair because I've been growing it for my wedding... which the girl cut 4 inches off!! I've been growing that for months! Rather than make the situation right, and return my money, the salon owner, Marie Gonzalez, then proceeded to BLOCK my phone number and facebook so that I would have no way to contact her unless from another phone. All I asked for is my money back so that I could go have my hair fixed, which is actually costing MORE than the $200 I paid at their salon. TRUST ME, ALL of their facebook reviews are FAKE and from family or friends. They have 1 negative review besides mine, which Im sure is real. STAY FAR FAR FAR away from them.
