Benjamin Steven J LCSW

2.0

By Laura V.N.

He has some good technical skills which were very helpful so I was surprised by what developed. Although not cold, I would ask for empathy and he seemed to find it somewhat of a struggle, although sometimes he tried. I too late learned not to trust what he said. I don't think he intentionally lied, or maliciously hid things. It seemed to me he gave answers that seemed palatable rather than completely honest and understanding and addressing the underlying concerns. He didn't follow through on what he said, or at least on what I understood what he said. He never clarified things when I pointed this out. When giving an apology, he defended himself, and didn't check to see if what he apologized for was the issue (it wasn't). ...read more

Medicare Private Fee For Service (PFFS) Plans For 2010

Due to funding cuts and new regulations by the Federal government many Medicare Private Fee For Service Plans will not be available for Jauary 1st 2010.Many Americans, especially those that travel frequently or live in rural communities have enjoyed having these plans due to the convenience of no-network limitations. The good news is that there are still a couple of PFFS plans that are in for the long haul. Today's Options has notified us that their plans will continue to be offered. Furthermore, you still have many other options available as well. Many companies will be replacing the PFFS Medicare plans with Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO Plans). These plans offer in or out of network coverage. In some cases an HMO plan may work for you as well.We will be adding more blog entries describing the advantages and disadvantage of HMO and PPO plans in the near future and also adding more specific information as it becomes available. You may also visit our main website orwww.choicesformedicare.orgfor more information. Remember that we also have a Toll Free Insurance Helplin at 1-877-300-2214. ...read more

Medicare Part D Plans Change In 2008

Since Medicare Part D is offered through private companies it is a good Idea to look at your current plan each year to see what has changed. Although Part D plans are regulated by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services to at least offer a minimum of benefits what you will find is that some of these companies offer MORE benefits than the minimum required. This is good for the consumer. We have found that some of the better plans last year are not as good this year and some other companies have taken their place. They are fighting for your business. there are two good sites to look at where you can look at different plans. One iswww.todaysmedicare.com. And the other is the government medicare.gov website. ...read more

Be Sure To Review Your 2008 Medicare Insurance Plan

Good News!! There is still time to review your 2008 Medicare health plan. Keep in mind that each plan changes yearly. As most people know the open enrollment period for Medicare is from November 15 to December 31st but what some do not realize is that you are allowed to make 1 change in your plan from January 1 to March 31st also. I have noticed that many of the large companies have either raised rates or lowered rates and decreased benefits. BEWARE !! you may get stuck with some hefty copays. I'm not trying to cause a panic I just want people to be informed and at least glance at your 2008 Medicare Insurance summary of benefits so you don't get caught off guard. If you need a reference point try www.todaysmedicareplans.com or give us a call.. ...read more
