Media badge is confirmed, complete itinerary solidified. Off to cover the event of my wildest dreams. The National Association of Music Merchants aka 'NAMM' is the annual trade show for those involved in the music industry in most capacity. The Ibanez, Peavey, Fender, the Sony, Regal Tip, Zildjan... the recording equipment, the engineer's paradise, the musicians' nirvana, all at the Anaheim Convention Center from January 23-27 but gaining access to Media Day I will be there with my eyes peeled on the 23rd. As it draws near, my awe level multiplies as I find more and more events that are happening during this 4-day paradise. Big deal events... such as Pete Townshend receiving a Les Paul Award, the first annual "She Rocks Awards" another day, I was accepted to the invitation-only event by the Founder and President of the Women in Music Network, meeting great people who played with and including the top dogs. Wow. Special invitation to meet the folks at Tascam since I just picked up their latest audiovideo recorder with condenser mics for my coverage... boy I am jumping out of my skin! Great things are taking form in preparation, it's so hard to keep my composure as I confirm another RSVP to another special event at the 2013 NAMM show... my Heaven on Earth for 5 days.... proudly representing Western New York. Taped a segment for SOUND Magazine today with Tammie Lee Demler which will air Jan 20, and we will be doing a live show on TV: WNY Tonight in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, so much going on!
