Making Sales In a Tough Economy Takes More Than Perisitance

Have you noticed that business people are not saying yes as often as we would like? Well, if you haven't I would like to know what planet you are living on.  The economy is strong, the cashflow has not slowed down but yet the world at this very moment is being turned upside down trying to figure out what the next steps are going to be for itself as well as who is going to come out on top after all is said and done. The world is moving more money to countries that dislike and dispise the United States but becasue they have the oil flowing we keep giving them our economy by the wheel barrow, nay, the truck load, no, the cargo plane full and it does not seem that until the rest of the world gets on the same page and away from building roads, tires, cars, trucks, planes and whatever runs on oil will it ever change. Why haven't we seen this coming?  Well we did and did nothing about it and now we are all across the world paying the price of wait and see or what the heck it's only money and America has more than enough or we will print more. Either way sales figures are dropping like they did in the early 90's and no one can predict the word Recession even though it feels like one and acts like one so let's see is it one. The next President of the US isn't going to have all the answers and won't be able to fix their own country never mind the world even tough every one pretty much is watching to see if Barrack O. or John Mc will be elected.  No one knows and yet everyone I talk to thinks that once the election is over and the new President of the USA is in place that they will wave a magic wand and fix everything in 6 months or less. Well sales people, business owners, I personally believe that we better start listening to a known billionaire by the names of Bill Gates, T. Boone Pickens and of course go back a few years to a guy that told us this was coming our way and we did nott listen, Ross Perot. Well if sales are slowing don't give up the ship because this can be your best time ever in the business.  You can start to cultivate new clientele for the future instead of making excuses of why the economy is slow or why you aren't closing business, you start by rebuilding and kindling the relationship syou do have into strong focused behaviors of how they will never go anywhere else because you were there for them in the good times as well as the bad times, scenario. I know I just got on my soap box but sometimes you have to do that just so you can leverage the air to have others pipe in and share their thoughts by shaking the trees a bit.
