where to start? dorothy had my apt rental listing for 3 months and didn't rent it. I finally called another broker and it was rented fairly quickly. She also tried to sell me a paint job for an astronomical price. Came time to get the keys back from Dorothy. I went to her office and she gave me quite an argument. Her desk had 8 billion keys and she continually claimed she could not find it. I vowed never to go back to her should the apartment become available again (it didn't thanks to Benjamin Realty!). one year later, Dorothy called and left me a phone message at my office. These are the worst (by far) real estate agents I have ever come in contact with. They are unprofessional; I gave them exclusive rights to rent my apartment and, after three months, there were no takers. I gave it to another real estate agent in FOrest Hills and it was rented the same afternoon. Dorothy refused to return the keys until I threatened to call the police. At one point (during the three months) I asked her what the value would be on the apartment if I wanted to sell it (this was in the mnid-90s the real estate marking was THRIVING) She told me $3,000! Other agents have told me that they are unprofessional as well; if there is a MLS listing and Dorothy has the key, she is always away from the office at the agreed time for another agent to pick up the keys. THere is no need for anyone to deal with this nonsense. lots and lots of real estate agents in Kew Gardens and Forest Hills; you don't need Dorothy and her husband. ...read more
