For many years, Clarity had good service as an ISP and hosting service. However, all their competent tech employees left, and they gradually turned into an utter disaster. Worst. Internet. Service. Ever. There is no customer service for service that barely works anyway. The Internet speed is slower than the second coming. There is no one around after hours to service their outages, even though they have a 24 hour per day product. Their phone message says they will call you back, but they don't. For most rural areas this is the only Internet provider, so they have a captive audience, they don't have to care about you once they get your money. CEO Chuck Bartosch got a $2.2M grant from Andy Cuomo/NYS Broadband Program to "serve" even more rural communities. Be sure to tell NYS Broadband about your service--www.nysbroadband.ny.gov--at the CUSTOMER link, click "Tell us about your Internet access." Chuck won't get his grant if customers are not being well served by his product. Let's put him out of business. We deserve good Internet service, and Clarity Connect is anything but good. ...read more
