About Geneseo, NY
Geneseo, described as having the most picturesque architecture, is the county seat of Livingston County, New York. The town is mostly a bedroom community for the nearby, larger city, Rochester. The majority of Geneseo is farmland with small residential and commercial areas mixed in. In 1991, part of the city was declared a National Historic Landmark. Students in the city attend the Geneseo Central School District. Also located in the city is the State University of New York at Geneseo. The city is also home to the Geneseo Hunt Club, the oldest hunt club in the country. Major attractions in Geneseo include the Vintage Drive-In Theater, Livingston Lanes, the Genesee Valley Farm Discovery Center and the Genesee Country Village and Museum.
