I would highly recommend Nu-Look to anyone that needs collision work done on their car. I was in an accident awhile ago and went to Nu-Look. My car literally looked better than it ever has when it was returned to me. It looked like a brand new car. They even cleaned the inside of my car and left a thank you note with candy! The staff there was extremely helpful and gave updates throughout the whole process. They were very friendly and considerate and seemed to understand the stress that I was under since accidents are obviously not fun. But they made everything convenient and stress-free! I didn't end up getting a rental car, but they have Hertz on-site which is nice. I used their free shuttle service to take me to and from my house. Such a positive experience and I would recommend them to anyone. ...read more

Our insurance carrier recommended Nu-Look so we decided to give them a shot after an accident with a deer. The first time we picked our car up after the "repairs," it was filthy, they put our damaged dirty tire in our trunk - which we paid a disposal fee for - getting grease all over the carpet in the trunk, the work wasn't complete, there were buff marks under the new paint, and somehow, they managed to put scratches and dents in other areas of the car that hadn't been affected by the accident with the deer. \t\n\t\nSo, in good faith, we gave them another chance to fix the work. Apparently they hire people right out of tech school to save money on their overhead costs, and needless to say, the car's body work didn't improve much the second time it came back. They also missed our bent wheel, which caused some serious damage as well until another shop discovered it. The idiots plugged things back in wrong so our window didn't work right until someone else took the door apart. Nu-Look actually told us it was a "programming issue" and we had to take it back to the dealership to get fixed. Seriously - your techs can't tell the difference between speaker and door wires?\t\n\t\nBottom line, don't use Nu-Look unless you want your car to look worse than when you bring it in for repairs. To this date, EVERYTHING that Nu-Look touched has to be re-done by another shop that clearly knows what they're doing. ...read more

I had the luck of getting my 2 week old Porsche Boxster smashed by an incompetent paperboy at 4am while it was sitting in my driveway ( yes he pulled into my driveway ). I brought the car to NuLook as I was told they would do a great job. HAH. \t\n The car was gone for 2 and a half weeks. I get it back and lets see... the passenger side door panel was not attached at the bottom, the speaker on that side; Blown, the rear automatic spoiler no longer worked, the paint on both bumpers bubbled, the front bumper was DRILLED into! yes they drilled 2 holes into a Porsche front bumper for absolutely no reason, I had paid extra to get ALL dents removed and of coarse I found over 10 dents still present. \t\n Ok, I bring the car back. Another week later I find that there are STILL dents, the spoiler STILL doesn't work, the door panel STILL isnt attached, the speaker now doesn't even turn on! The ONLY thing they did was put on a new front bumper to redeem for the 2 holes they put in the old one, but the paint on it is yes, bubbled. When I asked the gentleman about why the spoiler was not working the second time trying to fix it, he said that " he thought it was supposed to only come up 2 inches " I'm sorry but to work on a car you should have general knowledge about the vehicle. \t\n I bring it in AGAIN out of my own stupidity. The car was to be done on Thursday, then they said Friday, after I called 10 min before they closed on Friday, they said " oh monday it will be done" Today is monday, and now it is going to have to wait untill Wednesday. \t\n No, I'm not doing stand up, but yes this is a complete Joke. Living in Rochester NY we all know that summer is hard to come by particularly in 2009. Now the total job has added up to around 4 and a half weeks of labor. Sure enough to say that I'm fed up and want my car back because it is August 31st. Not much time to drive the car even left!.\t\n So my expierience with NuLook collision is horrendous to say the least.\t\n ...read more

How to Detail Classic Car Engines

As classic cars engines age they get dirty. The dirt comes from use as oil circulates in the engine. In old engines the oil may find a way out from a seeping seal to the outside of the engine.
