A couple of years ago I walked into Tanos with a picture of an emerald cut diamond ring that I wanted. Paul guided me through designing the ring, picking out all of the emerald cut diamonds and staying within my budget. His knowledge of his trade as well as his honesty made a daunting purchase into a memory that I will always treasure. Without a doubt all jewelry will be purchased through Paul. Don't let looks deceive you. This sleepy little store front with obvious signs of 'maturity' is a mecca for those who truly want custom service and a jeweler whose mission is to please you so that you will come back time and time again. I am always blown away at Paul's honesty and ability to select exactly what I want from his multitude of precious stone and metal manufacturers - and at a price lower than 47th street merchants. You will never regret your purchases from Tano's. If you have something in mind, they will find it or design it for you. A recession can work to your advantage. How low can you go?
When the economy is strong products and services are in demand. That and other situations can cause inflation. When an economy is weak, extremely weak in the current case there is far less of a demend for these products. When suppliers and retailers are forced to sit on their merchandise with very slim chance of turning over their current inventory they will usually cut prices to the lowest possible amount to the extent that they are not jeopardizing the future of their business by selling off the inventory at such a low price that they can not keep up with their over head, pay off debtors or replace these items for replanishment for ongoing sales. THIS IS CALLED DEFLATION.Deflating the prices of goods and services is a desperate outlet to try to drum up business and can usually, if in the right situation or done correctly, keep a business' head above water. If not in the right situation it could mean the end of a business. Here at Tano's Jewelry we are glad to be able to say that we have an extremely large inventory of fine jewelry including all of the latest styles. We sometimes feel that we are slightly over stocked with merchandise. We own this inventory so there are no debtors to pay and not much concern for replanishing our entire inventory. Just the staple items and of course the latest styles. This is the reason the we are able to offer you the 50% off coupon on our entire large inventory of jewelry. With our regular priceing structure you are getting the oppertunity to buy the latest styles in jewelry at or even in some cases below wholesale. At Tanos we don't mark up our inventory 400% then offer 50% or even 70% off like most stores do. To sum things up lets use an analogy. A car dealer pays $20,000 for a car. The sticker on the price is $25,000. Between the dealers overhead and the committment to pay the manufacturer for the car there is no way that the car dealer could offer anywhere close to 50% off on the car. That would be a loss of over 37% and that car dealer would have to lock the doors of their dealership.
