I found the food there to be a big surprise. The funny and friendly people at the deli really made my day. They stuffed me with about a dozen samples, which made my decision really hard. I finally chose a buffalo bacon with blue cheese on a flat bread. They grilled it and it was really really good. A definate must if you go to Delmar. The only problem is deciding what to get. The wife and I went to Delish tonight to have one of their much talked about Muffalettas'. WOW. there was a 10 pound sandwich in the deli case! It was all that our friends told us it would be. The chef there cut off a slab about 2 inches wide and about 6" high filled with imported Italian cold cuts, fresh mozzarella and provolone, roasted peppers and this great olive salad. Price was great, a little over 7 bucks and stuffed with cold cuts. Wife had this great pannini, buffalo chicken, bacon and blue cheese. My husband and I would get takeout from there everyday I think except for the price. It's not inexpensive, but it is delicious, home cooking. The chef/owner is from New Paltz and is very talented and clearly, loves good food.
