Kirns retrieved my son's motorcycle from the scene of his accident. The State Police informed us that they gathered all of the pieces of the bike that had broken off and placed them with the bike for pick up. After I picked up the bike from Kirns we discovered that there were parts that were missing - the seat, battery and engine computer. When I went back to Kirn's to ask about the parts the manager became very defensive and rude. He said the cracked battery and other broken pieces were thrown in the trash and discarded. The engine computer is a $300 part. He could not explain what happened to it. Did they steal it and sell it? I don't know. I'll let the reader draw their own conclusions. He didn't save the pieces for me to examine myself. He also charged me an extra $50 for "storage' of the motorcycle for less than 24 hours in an area that is not secure. They also offered to not charge me tax on the total bill of $215 if I paid cash, but then refused to give me a receipt because I paid cash. I am saddened to express my disappointment with one of your representatives, Mr. Chris Hollister. His profane and abusive treatment towards a young girl whom he collided with while driving the Kirn's Auto Body truck was unwarranted. No one has an "accident" on purpose...unless, of course, you are trying to drum up business for the auto body shop. Perhaps Anger Management, or at the least a course in Customer Service could be offered so that Mr Hollister could effectively represent the company that employs him. Making a scene in the middle of Cooperstown made a lasting impression not only on the victim of his rant, but also to the bystanders who were rightfully concerned for her welfare. ...read more
