I have been wearing my arch supports for only 2 1/2 weeks and have gone from only being able to stand and/or walk 15 minutes to pushing it 1/2 hour and am now able to go as long as 1 1/2 to 2 hours. AMAZING!! I have spinal stenosis, had back surgery in 1999 and had maybe 4 years of relatively pain-free walking and it has gone downhill ever since. I was impressed with the Good Feet Store from the moment I walked in I was greeted by friendly sales associates who introduced themselves as I spoke to them and let them know about the problems that I have acquired since I have began running (Heel Pain, Shin Splints) They recommended that I try arch supports I agreed due to the fact I was in so much pain, once the associate brought them out and confirmed the fit they were put in my shoe and immediately noticed that I was more comfortable (i.e. no pain) in the shoes than ever before. I have been dealing with extreme foot pain for as long as a year at this point. I am on my feet for 10-12 hrs a day and I had finally reached the point where I was almost thinking of using crutches part time because my foot hurt so bad, which was also affecting my back and I was experiencing chronic back pain which medication wasn\'t even touching. No matter how much knee, hip and back pain I have, my dogs get a three mile hike with me every morning. I bought my Classics yesterday and hiked around town for my first half hour break in. For the first time in years I was able to walk downhill without knee pain. Today for my one hour break in I did our usual three mile walk in the woods. We actually walked a little further and it took 10 minutes less time. I noticed the toe of my footprints were aimed straight ahead instead of out to the side like they had been all winter. I felt the exercise burn in my upper thigh instead of the intense knee pain and lower leg ache I usually experienced. By the weekend I\'ll be up to three hours in my Classics and that\'s long enough to climb to the top of the mountain and back down. Thanks for the tip, Emmitt! Great dancing by the way.
