My son, a student at UB, was cited for speeding in a reduced speed zone (that he claims not to have noticed until the officer's speed measurement unit also noticed). Attorney John Sebastian promptly returned my call. He clearly articulated his extensive experience in dealing with the issuing agency, with the court where the information was returnable, and with the governing procedural statute. His requested fee was more than fair, and his continual, prompt updates were greatly appreciated. The ticket was eventually dismissed after his Motion to Dismiss (for failure to comply with a basic procedural requirement) was granted. As one who refers out a great deal of legal work in other jurisdictions, I would provide six stars, if that were an option, for value, client service, knowledge of statutory and procedural law, and for understanding the weaknesses (short handed) of prosecuting agencies. ...read more

This past summer, I was arrested for a misdemeanor charge in Amherst, NY. i wasn't sure what I was going to do. I didn't know any lawyer by name so I did a online search and John Sebastian came up. When I spoke to him, he seemed very confident and knowledgeable about my case and was very understandable and sympathetic to my situation. He assured me that he could resolve the charges against me. He took my case for an affordable and reasonable price. The court process that I went through was very stressful but with John by my side, he made the process go by smoothly. He was easy to talk to, very friendly and down to earth. He understood everything that was going around him and helped me understand the court process as well. After three short court appearances, (Which is how many he said it would take) John had gotten me acquitted of charge against me. The police raided my house based on some false information and tried to give me a B Misdemeanor. John got it knocked down to a small fine. He's easy to work with, and is willing to work with people that don't necessarily have a big budget. He resolved my problem for a reasonable fee .
