Everyone needs to be aware of the towing scam of this location Sovereign Bank 8808 5th Avenue Bay Ridge Brooklyn, If you park in the parking lot and get out to use their ATM, you car will be taken by the biggest crooks in all of Brooklyn called Custom Wreckers tow truck company. They demand CASH only when they're supposed to take credit card as well so that they can charge you whatever they want and give you no receipt. They are a bunch of low life thugs!! They get into your face and shout out at you that you got to cough up the dough or else you don't get your car back. They don't even take the towed cars back into their towing lot but drive your car around the blocks to hold it for ransom. A professional bank like this should not allow these crimes!! ...read more

Beware! If you deposit a check at this or any Dime Bank you won't be able to withdraw your money for over a month! \t\n\t\nThe banking representative never disclosed this sketchy practice when I opened my account with them, and lo and behold I tried to access my opening deposit a week later and the payment that I had sent was rejected by the bank. I incurred fees from my credit card company (because Dime refused to honor the payment request) and I incurred fees from Dime (for of all things an overdraft!).\t\n\t\nBeware!
