I really regret not first checking the Better Business Bureau's website for information on Day One Restoration. When I did look them up in December 2014 it turns out they had an F rating (on a scale of A+ to F). I hired the company in September 2014 to restore a bookcase for me. The owner of the company told me 4-6 weeks. I gave him a deposit of $375. It took 4 months, a filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau, paper work filed in Manhattan's small claims court and a third party's resolution department contacting the company on my behalf before the company returned my bookcase on 1/29/2015. My experience with this company has been horrible. A 4-6 week job ended up taking 4 months and I honestly believed I would never seen my bookcase again. Three words.... "Don't do it". If you're looking to buy used furniture that's passed off as new ....then these are your guys. Bad bad experience with them. Also, If you do decide to buy furniture with them and ignore this warning at least use a "CREDIT CARD", or "DEBIT", NO CASH. I say this because if you do run into problems with them the banks can help get your money back. AGAIN, these guys are into getting a free lunch off of hard working people.
