About Stateline, NV
Stateline is a part of the Lake Tahoe region of Nevada. It lies on the southern shore of Lake Tahoe and to the east of the line between California and Nevada from which it takes its name, as well as the town of South Lake Tahoe. Major attractions include 4 resort casinos. Because Lake Tahoe is such a popular vacation destination, the population swells in the winter and summer due to brisk tourist trade. The major employers are the casinos, notably Montbleu Resort Casino and Spa (formerly Caesar's), Harrah"s Lake Tahoe and Harvey's Lake Tahoe. The 2007 movie Smokin Aces was filmed at Stateline at the Montbleu Resort Casino and Spa and The Horizon. Musician and politician Sonny Bono was killed while skiing at Heavenly Ski Resort in Stateline in 1998.
