I was referred to this shop by another service provider that had put a scratch on my Mercedes. When I took the vehicle there to have the repairs done I asked them if they could repair a small ding on my passenger door. The shop owner Mike agreed to make the minor repair. I was getting ready to leave town to go on vacation so I made arrangement for my employee to drop my car off after I left. The car was immaculate other than these two small scratches. My employee dropped the vehicle off on Tuesday 4/29. From what I understand, the shop owner called my employee on Friday 5/2 to let him know that the vehicle was ready for pick up. My employee said that he would stop by Saturday to pick it up. My employee did not make it there on Saturday to pick up the vehicle. On Monday Mike called my employee to see how he liked the work. My employee stated that he did not make it to pick up the vehicle. Mike, the shop owner left the vehicle parked in the alley WITH THE KEY IN IT! This was a $65,000 (what I paid) Mercedes Benz in perfect condition! It was stolen. Mike did not even realize that the vehicle was stolen until Monday. The story goes from bad to worse from here. My vehicle was recovered on Wednesday morning. A vehicle that was immaculate inside and out that I took in for two minor scratches was destroyed inside. I'm now going through the insurance company who insists that their only responsibility is to repair the vehicle. It was smoked in (cigarettes and weed), made filthy, door panels cut out, speakers ripped out, tire blown out, front end damaged. It will never, ever be the same and I will never drive it again.
