They stammered and stumbled, saying they didn't remember and lost the envelope. You would think that was THEIR fault? The judge then says to me "How do I know you didn't send an empty envelope"? I gave him copies of the money orders, the original certified receipt..everything. He said we would have to pay them the missing money IN ADDITION to Mays rent..over 1200.00 but if we did, we could move back and that would be that would be that. My parents didn't want us there putting up with all this. ...read more

This was removed from my mailbox and curiously showed up 4-26..the day after they filed for a 24 hour lockout which I was unaware of until my sister called and said the police removed she and my 2 year old niece for non-payment of rent. I was in class, left and picked up the certified which was a copy of the 5 day notice, rewritten and backdated. I was certain they threw away the money orders. I filed a motion to set aside lockout per our family attorney. The judge honored this and the property manager lied and said they never got my rent. He asked how then, did we have a certified receipt showing they had signed for something. ...read more

Calls at off business hours from private phones, emails, texts and calls at work about signing the new lease. We simply wanted to vacate June 1. We hadn't been late on rent until my pay was late in April. The first day it was late, they posted a 5 day notice & tried charging $75 for the filing fee. I went to the court and it had never been filed and her posting it on my door did not by statute, allow that fee. The rent and late fees was obtained via money order, sent certified of which I received the certified receipt. Next thing I know, I get a certified notification in mail on 4-26 which showed attempted date of delivery 4-15!! ...read more

How To Sell Your Home Without A Lot Of Hassle

If you are trying to sell your home, remove all personal items from display. This means to take down family photos, calendars, etc. A buyer needs to be able to envision their own belongings in the space. Having a photo of your baby on display makes it harder for them to do this. Hire a real estate attorney, even if you are selling your home on your own. By hiring a legal professional to look over your contracts, you are saving yourself many potentially costly problems in the future. A lawyer can spot flaws in your documents, allowing you to rectify them before it's too late. Hiring a Realtor is worth considering when selling your home. Using a Realtor, versus selling on your own, gives you professional advice and opinions, and accurate information for pricing your home. In addition, you'll receive maximum exposure through MLS listings and advertising. This can help you achieve a faster sale and higher selling price. Be flexible when it comes to showing your home, especially in the fall. Many buyers are just as busy with the kids' schedules and are on as tight of a schedule as you are. You may have to open your home to anyone that is interested during the weekends or the evenings to allow anyone interested to see it. Blending in with the crowd means that your property will just be a dust-collector like the rest of them. Use the tips that you just read here, in order to jump to the front of the line in the real estate market. Being a seller in real estate means you need to be informed, so be sure to use this information to give you an edge. https://www.privacy2000.org/need-some-help-selling-your-house/ ...read more
