Top Recreation Centers in Las Vegas, NV

I felt extremely isolated when I moved to Vegas and before I joined Get Out. Since joining the group, I really like the people I've met and have formed several significant friendships. My life feel...Read Moreā€¦

Royal Links Golf Club

5.0

I got a recommedation to play this course through the Mandalay Bay Concierge in Las Vegas. Apparently they get discounted rates with this particular golf course and its 2 other sister courses (Bali Hai and Desert Pines). I decided to go with Royal Links. Upon my arrival, we had to go through these huge iron gates and then got dropped off at the clubhouse, which by the way, is an actual Scottish Castle! The staff was very friendly and more than accomodating to my needs. Ask for Nacho, by far the best Bartender/Server I have ever encountered at a Clubhouse restaurant ever! Now for the course. If you've ever watched the British Open, you should be familiar with their signature holes. By far my Favorite is the Par 3 Postage Stamp. Only because to the left of the green, is this deep, deep bunker. Standing in it, I couldn't even see over the top of the bunker. They also have a replica of the ""Road"" hole from St. Andrews, minus the buildings surrounding it. I also enjoyed the rolling fairways and challenging greens. Best part about it is....There are no water hazards! I don't know about you, but for some reason, water really messes with my game mentally...I can keep going on and on about this place, but if you can't afford to play in Scotland, play the Royal Links in Las Vegas. I am definitely going to go back there each time I visit. I'm having withdrawals now just thinking about it. :) ...read more

Desert Pines Golf Club

5.0

Beautiful lush emerald green fairways, greens that roll true and the friendliest staff I've ever encountered when playing a resort course. What I really enjoyed about this course were the tight fairways and water that plays on nearly half the holes. While the course isn't very long it certainly requires crafty iron play! Highly recommended and in my book a must play when golfing in Las Vegas. ...read more
