The trail running is fast growing sports discipline which includes hiking and running over the trails. In the United Kingdom and Ireland this sport is known as mountain running or even fell running. The main difference relative to road running and track running is that trail running means more hiking in the trails and far from civilization, usually in the mountains. As the main reasons for such popularity, they lead the fact that trail running involves less impact of stress compared to road running as well as the landscape in the non-urban environment. A lot of people also participating solo back country trail as a ultralight form of backpacking. Despite being less common is more wanted discipline because the ordinary backpacking is known as difficult and dangerous. There is also and mountain running as the sport of running and racing off roads. Its name comes from original British sport from the northern Britain, where fell races were popular in shape that contenders possess some mountain navigation and have survival equipment that the organizer prescribed. The natural setting makes trail running more spiritual activity than simple roadside jogging and running in the eyes of participants. And raising acknowledgment of environmentalism is another important factor for sports lovers. When comes to planning routes and for the race itself organization gave the best to keep the race "green" and to minimize disturbance of the natural environment. But that does not mean that they do not use a specialized equipment for the best performance. That is the protection of the foot from the wounds of sharp rocks and trees. As trail running take place usually on soft surfaces as dirt and grass cushioning is not that important, and those models are generally less cushioned than any other running shoes.
