News 3 Las Vegas Chats with VEGAS! THE SHOW

The Las Vegas showgirl has been a staple in the world of Las Vegas entertainment for many years. When anyone thinks of Las Vegas, showgirls are the first image that comes to anyone’s mind. First making their debut in Europe in shows like Folies Bergere, the showgirl has become a sort of icon of Las Vegas. Today, there is only one show in Las Vegas to still feature performances by the showgirls of Las Vegas. VEGAS! THE SHOW on News 3 Las Vegas News 3 Las Vegas spoke with the first of the reinvented showgirls yesterday, with the ladies of VEGAS! THE SHOW at the Saxe Theater. Dressed in the typical showgirl attire and showing of the famous showgirl stance, Rebecca De Carteret, Lauren Clark, and Emily Callaway of VEGAS! THE SHOW chatted with the hosts of News 3 Las Vegas about what it’s like to be a part of the last production in Vegas to feature this famous Las Vegas mascot. Showgirl Lauren Clark told the hosts of News 3 Las Vegas that VEGAS! THE SHOW makes for a great opportunity for those who saw the actual stars in the production years ago to relive those moments of the past. Rebecca De Carteret told the hosts that coming from the UK to Las Vegas and becoming a Las Vegas showgirl, performing to packed out houses is like a dream come true. The ladies even taught the hosts of News 3 Las Vegas how to do the “champagne flute” showgirl stance. VEGAS! THE SHOW is the first of the reinvented showgirl shows. The show pays homage to many of the greatest entertainers of the past but works to take a modern spin on vintage Las Vegas. The show features performances by that of the Rat Pack, Tina Turner, Elvis Presley, and many more. Featuring a live band, live singing, and intricate musical numbers, VEGAS! THE SHOW embodies everything that is Las Vegas entertainment. Click HERE to get your tickets to VEGAS!
