This review will not do Antonio's justice. My husband and I dropped in by chance during an afternoon visit to Taos. Greatest decision we made during our vacation in New Mexico! The food was simply amazing! I ordered one of their specials, mashed potato tacos. Yes, I said mashed potato tacos, and they were phenominal. The mashed potatos were perfectly seasoned, rolled in a corn tortilla and fried like a flauta. I'm not sure what the sauce was on top, but it was the perfect compliment to the mashed potatos. My super-picky husband even thought they were great. My husband ordered chicken fajitas and the portion size was huge! More chicken than I have seen people get when they order fajitas for two. The chicken was tender and had a terrific flavor. I also need to recommend the sangria which had the perfect amount of sweetness to it. The service was awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and spent time explaining the specials to us. It was based on her recommendation that I went with the mashed potato tacos, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I would have to rate Antonio's Taste of Mexico in my top 5 best meals of all time. My only suggestion is that they add the mashed potato tacos to their permanent menu. Oh, and open a restaurant in Austin! ...read more
