Angelina has kicked off her business with a spark of lightening! Since her first party last year, which I hosted, she has used her energetic and positive attitude to introduce lia sophia in both New Mexico and Texas in the southwestern area. She has also presented lia sophia in Connecticut among her family and friends. Angela was gracious enough to participate in a collaborative fund raising effort for the Virginia C. Higbie Endowed Scholarship under the College of Health and Social Services at New Mexico State University. Through a series of lia sophia parties, at which we had great fun, she donated a portion of her earnings for this purpose. More than $600 were donated to the cause. Can a direct sales business survive during a recession? ABSOLUTELY! I have a direct sales business selling lia sophia jewelry and my manager has been telling me for months that direct sales does well during a recession. I was a little hesitant but went forward. In direct sales, we must keep a positive attitude, so was she "maintaining her positive attitude" or was she correct in reporting this information? Recently I found an article that reported how direct sales, especially jewelry, flourishes during a recession. People lose their jobs, they are looking for extra income and look to direct sales to fill the gap. Donald Trump says direct sales is the next big wave in this country. Women have parties because they enjoy getting together with friends, family and coworkers. During recessions, women buy jewelry because it makes them feel good. This started to make sense to me. Nothing was more powerful than the show I had recently. After the show was over, the hostess (who was thinking of joining the company) remarked to me that she was hesitant about having the show as most of the people didn't make a lot of money and because of the economy she didn't feel right about it. However I pointed out to her that when all was said and done, I had 12 orders worth approximately $700 - which is great - and this was because every single one of those women wanted to feel good about themselves.
