Most people expect to give at least 2 weeks notice if they are leaving their job. Unidas changes client's case mangers with no notice at all. You'll get a phone call one day with a cheery voice saying "Hi, I'm your new case manager!" There is no concern on the part of this company whether this is a good time for the client or caregiver to have this change occur, and no thought of perhaps having the now ex-case manager finish one more month to smooth the transition. One of the managers will claim they attempted to contact you, and even if you have caller ID at home, caller ID on your cell, e-mail, voicemail, etc, they will continue to claim they did attempt to contact you (very immature and unprofessional). Shop around, there are other choices in Case Management agencies. This was not just a problem with one Case Manager at Unidas (this happened to us with 2), but also a problem with management.
