I should've read reviews before transferring a family member to SMG: "Smart Legal group advising Billing to get copays on well visits: Absolutely the worst. Once this group swallowed up our family practice the service has been one of the worst. They have smart lawyers advising them and have figured out a way to make money out of well visit appointments that insurance and my employer says should not have a copay. They send you a questionnaire and have you run bloodwork and if you have indicated or the bloodwork shows you have a deficiency they code it as such and immediately billing charges you the copay. So WATCH OUT they skirt on the grey side of the law and will find a way to get to your wallet. Horrible place and the billing department has been taught the script by their well paid legal dept...trying to get out of this network by reneep on March 17, 2014" Pretty much their scamming billing tactics. Make you sign wavers for surgery pre-admission/clearance blood work, push vaccines left and right, push wellness visits. A family member had waivers, wellness visit done without being informed it's covered only once a year. There are no co-pays or out of pocket payments with the customer's medicare and supplemental plan, but SMG overcharges and overbills. When they don't get their contract fees they hold customers responsible for unpaid charges. It's not bad enough that customers pay insane prices for insurance SMG also needs to rob. A little here a little there. Vulnerable seniors, customers who don't know how healthcare billing and coding works get robbed both ways. Didn't have any billing problems with doctors outside of this group. Now it'll cost more money and effort to submit all medical records to outside doctors. Time to exit this group. ...read more

Hi my name is Lisa and I am 40 years old. Between being a mother of two and working all the time, exercise and trying to lose weight has always been a struggle for me. Ive been going to Dr. Burnett for over a year now and I was excited when I heard he got the new Smartlipo. Dr. Burnetts office is in Westfield, NJ. I was always nervous to do the traditional Lipo because I was scared of going under and I didnt have the opportunity to have all that down time so I was excited to do the new Smartlipo. I had three procedures done on Friday. My inner and outer thighs and a banana lift. There was only drainage the first day, which was normal and I was sore. I took two extra-strength Tylenol, but I feel like I didnt even need it and I am not one who has high-tolerance to pain. I chose to wait two days to shower and I was driving by Sunday and back at work on Monday, my co-workers were shocked including myself. I am a new patient to Dr. Thaller's dental practice.I moved into the area fearful that i did not know a dentist to go to(i had been going to my previous dentist since a child). I decided to look on the internet (which i usually would not do ). Dr. Thaller had such good reviews by his patients i decided to call his office. From the minute someone answered the phone, i knew i had found the right office for me . They helped answer all my insurance questions and they submit my insurance even though they do not participate in my plan. Dr. Thaller spent alot of time educating me on my mouth and was very conservative in his treatment plan. I felt very comfortable in the chair and when he was done, the work looked perfect.
