Spring is Coming - Plan Your Promos

If you live in the Northeast like I do, chances are you are tired of snow, I know I am. I love snow in December at Christmas time, but we’re starting the beginning of February and the white falling flakes that were so magical in December are starting to lose their charm. Everyone I know is daydreaming of Spring and warmer days. My mailbox is starting to fill up with promotional products geared towards Spring and Summer. Even my customers are getting prepared for spring festivals and shows. We already fulfilled our first beach ball order of the year. Now is a great time to plan ahead for Spring and Summer campaigns. Not only will it take some of the chill away - it will help you stay ahead of the game ( rush charges are no fun for anyone). So what’s hot and trending for next season? We have a few things you might want to consider when planning your Spring Festival giveaways. Highlighters are back with a vengeance. Not necessarily a warm weather only promo, but one that is heating up none the same. New this year are Nail Polish highlighters. If you are in a female driven market you may want to check these out. They look like nail polish bottles but are really cleverly disguised highlighters. At less than $1.00 a piece, these are sure to make a huge impact. Wax highlighters have hit the scene also and now come in numerous sets and configurations. The plus about wax highlighters? They don’t “ bleed” through paper like traditional highlighters and if you inadvertently leave the cap off they won’t dry out , making this an an instant office favorite. Starting at less than 50 cents , these are a great value for getting your name out. They say that everything old is new again. This is certainly the case with Mason Jars. Every day at least 3 emails come across my desk announcing their “new” Mason jar tumblers. Some have straws, some come in colors some are plastic and some come in glass. There are tons of variety but they all do the same thing - evoke memories of simpler spring and summer days from an era long since passed. The last thing I’m seeing right now is a bevy of lip balm. Coming in a variety of shapes and colors, the big news is the variety of flavors. In one company alone I counted 55 different flavors. From your more traditional mint or cherry, to the rarer mojito or pumpkin flavors, you're bound to find something that appeals to almost every age and taste. Starting at less than 80 cents, including a full color logo wrap, these little purse dwelling promos are sure to get your brand noticed. Whether you target seniors, executives, parents or preschoolers this Spring, there is a promotional product that fits. The key to success is early planning. Don’t wait until the last of snow melts to decide on your Spring promos. Decide early and avoid headaches later and you’ll be able to enjoy that nice Spring weather. ...read more
