Yes, they brew their own beer,....and it is getting much better. BUT...do not let the name of the restaurant mislead you....NOR the fact that there is a Basil T's in Red Bank (they used to have the same owner...not anymore)....ALSO!!!..THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD BE UNDER AMERICAN AND NOT ITALIAN...the menu is very diversified, but minimally Italian. The bar area is more of a ""bistro"" than a bar....and superb appetizers (in Spain this would be a tapas bar)..that are 1/2 price after 3pm all day (exc. Sat)...very inventive, great variety. As to the restaurant....the only negative is the seating...you could be sitting next to a family with 2 year-olds (not conducive to eating a great meal or having a nice bottle of wine)...ask for Booth #31 or #32...no kids nearby. Basically, you can absolutely trust anything on the menu...especially the ""specials""....the executive chef is especially spectacular with ""comfort food"" dishes....the fall and winter are great times for his dishes....Love the Lamb Stew in a Bread Basket (baked on the premises!)....If the management would only let the families go to Appleby's and Friday's, this place would be a ""10"" ...read more
