Weight Loss: Fixing Concept vs Promoting a Journey of Healing Today, I want to share with you a brief overview of what I learned as a Food Psychology student from my Coach Marc David regarding the Key Toxic Beliefs of Weight Loss. These beliefs are often the root cause of what trips up most individuals in their pursuit to shed unwanted pounds.Leaving behind the typical “Quick Fix Concept” approach and embracing your personal Journey of Healing is CRITICAL to your long term success. So let’s briefly explore a few of the key toxic beliefs that often sabotage the weight loss efforts of so many, especially at this time of year:Dietary fat is evil and bad, it makes me feel fat! (fixing concept which can lead to insufficient intake of essential fatty acids)Food makes me feel fat.
