Coming from a large family with aging relatives and visiting many funeral homes in NJ over the past several years, Valley Memorial has by far exceeded my families expectations. Mr. Tuma was very courteous and caring while we were making the arrangements. The funeral home was very clean and was able to comfortably accommodate a large number of grieving relatives. Comparing the experience of a recent funeral of a friend at a different funeral home, several family members commented on the superior work of Mr. Tuma, specifically regarding the preparation of the deceased. In reference to a previous comment, I would much rather see my family member removed from his/her home in familiar linens rather than in a plastic body bag. Very unprofessional. Did not use a body bag to remove my husband's body. They used a sheet and heirloom quilt and did not return them. I gave burial clothes. My husband was cremated in the clothes he was wearing and also the sheet and quilt. Mr. Toma did not ask to take these, did not offer to return them.
