Completely satisfied with Cedar Grove Locksmith Store! They were on time, friendly and knew their job too well. How else could they have managed to rekey a set of eight locks within an hour? If you live in Cedar Grove, I highly recommend that you give them a call on 973-310-9092. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. ...read more

5 Tips for Perfecting Your Wedding Day Manicure

So you’ve found the perfect dress for your wedding day, and you’ve found the exact hairstyle you want your hairdresser to tidy your tresses into before you walk down the aisle. But what about your nails?Whether you’re a regular at the nail salon or you randomly (and haphazardly) paint your nails on your own, doing something different with your nails for your wedding day is a must. That doesn’t mean they need to be flaming red or neon pink unless that’s what you want of course. Your wedding day nail polish should be a reflection of you while complementing your gown. Your guests will be looking at your hands to see your new ring and you want to look your best from head to toe. These tips will ensure you get the perfect manicure for you for your wedding day.  1. Start your nail maintenance now This is especially important if you’re a nail biter. Start taking care of your hands today by moisturizing your skin especially at the cuticle and trim and file your nails. Your nail technician can make your nails look amazing but you’ll need to do your part by taking care of your hands and nails at home. 2. Consider a gel manicure Gel manicures dry fast and remain chip-free for a long time. It’s definitely a viable option, especially if you fear chipping your nails right before you walk down the aisle. However, if you’re going to go the gel route, remember that they lose their shine after a few days so in order for them to look their best, don’t get them done until a day before the wedding, two days before max! 3. Be prepared for chips If you take on atraditional manicure, there are opportunities for chipping. To keep from completely panicking, make sure you have a bottle or two of the same shade on hand. Pack it in your bag for getting ready before the wedding and throw another in your honeymoon luggage too. To expertly repair a chip, fill the chipped area in using the tip of the nail polish brush. Let it dry for 30 seconds and then brush over with another coat of polish. Don’t forget to seal it with a clear top coat! 4. Pick your perfect shade in advance Should you go nude or French manicure? Should you try a bright pink or a purple or even nail art? The time to figure out your perfect shade or nail style is well in advance of the big day. Experiment and see what you like that suits your skin tone and goes well with your dress style so you will feel confident on your wedding day. 5. Moisturize like crazy Don’t wind up with Crypt Keeper hands in your wedding day photos. Start now with a hydrating anti-aging hand cream that will plump up your skin and leave it looking youthful and elegant in all those close-ups of your ring and bouquet. Make sure you take it with you to your ceremony and reception too! ...read more
