Cedar Grove is a city located in Essex County, New Jersey. It was voted the fourth best place in the county and the seventeenth best place in the state to live in 2008 by New Jersey Monthly Magazine. Students here attend the Cedar Grove Public Schools which consist of one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. The city is also home to two private schools, The Washington Academy and Saint Catherine's. Most of the businesses in Cedar Grove are located along route 32. Some of the businesses here include CVS, Bank of America, and Lay-Z-Boy. Major attractions in the city include Mills Reservation, Hilltop Reservation and the Cedar Grove Community Pool. Famous people with ties to Cedar Grove include originator of the Batman movies Michael Uslan and CNN commentator Jack Cafferty.
