The town of Newfields is located on the Squamscott River in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, in the Boston-Cambridge-Quincy metro area. Major attractions include a historic country store, several historic cemeteries, a war memorial, a public boat launch, and a number of hiking/biking trails. Hutchinson Sealing Systems, which manufactures rubber and plastic components for the automobile industry is the largest business here. Town of Newfields Elementary School and Newfields Preschool are located here. One of the best places to visit when you are in Newfields is the nearby American Independence Museum, which according to its website is, "a place for the study, research, education and interpretation of the American Revolution and of the role that New Hampshire, Exeter, and the Gilman family played in the founding of the new republic." Notable residents of Newfields have included congressmen, John Brodhead and James Pike.
