I purchased the quarter sawed white oak in 8' widths. Our contractor said that it was the better Qtr saw oak he's ever seen. This is a product for someone who wants a truly unique and authentic floor that will add a completely different dimension to your house. We looked at all sorts of competitors and this is by far the best. Also, the best customer service experience I've had. Lauren at Carlisle worked with us for almost two years to plan, order, receive, and install the beautiful antique heart pine floor in our new home. We requested many samples & received them - no problem. We also called and emailed often, covering possible problems that could occur during construction. Lauren was remarkable. She knew her job & made suggestions based on our specific situation. She was patient about the many times we were forced to postpone delivery. We wanted reclaimed flooring with an historic background. Once the flooring arrived we received all of the info about the floor & ordered a photo of the factory of origin. Sadly, Lauren was laid off (due to economy) a week or so before our floor arrived. She certainly deserves a medal of honor for all her hard work. We love our floors.
