"I would like to answer some FALSEHOODS that were stated below by a MK rep. Avon is less expensive to startbut you basically purchase your kit of needed items separately. - that is correct. Just $10. Mary Kay has a preset kit of not only samples and full size products but also educational materials .-It costs approx $200! Avon had territories Mary Kay does not and never did. -that is correct BUT it has been literally 20 years since there were territories. This is not an issue when selling AVON. You can take it with you where you go/move. AVON is Global! Avon you must order something each campaign period.- that is ABSOLUTELY not true! You don't have to buy anything everycampaign. You do need to make a purchase every 6 weeks/3 campaigns(biweekly) but it could be for 50 cents! Just to keep you active. In all my years of selling their has never been a time when I didn't have an order for myself or a customer. Avon didn't offer team meetings or events to succeed. -RUBBISH! There are Leadership Development Meeting(IF you want to do that, I don't), New Rep Meetings and New Product Awareness Meetings EVERY Month!! Plus they are over 30 FREE Full-length training sessions/videos to teach you all you need to run a successful business and AVON! Avon line is full of many products that I felt changed so much and was hard to keep on being knowledgeable about.- Yes, AVON offers a FULL range of porducts for men,women, children, the home and even pets BUT that is why with every product delivery you get new material that educates you on the latest products. It would be impossible for the over 1/2 million AVON rep in the USA to keep up with the 1,000 new products that come out every year if AVON wasn't constantly updating us. ...the campaigns are determined for you with Avon- this is true BUT the dates they have never been an issue. After 120 years they have the right systems in place. The feedback I have recieved via AVON reps that sold MK, customers who switched from MK to AVON and from reseaching on the internet is that MK is SO expensive. Approximetly what the department store charges. Personally for me when i could afford a department store status brand I BOUGHT the dept store brand because I wanted my 'friends' & collegues to see what I used. Now that I'm older and wiser I buy the good stuff without a) spending a fortune, b) leaving my house to do it and c)the only one that I need to impress is my wallet. AVON is also the 1st to stop testing on animals, the LARGEST supporter in the fight against Breast Cancer with OVER a half BILLION donated so far. They also are very current and trendy with the addition of the mark. line featuring Lauren Conrad and Jordin Sparks. They are advertised ALL over the place in fashion magnazines and TV. As a person who used to obsess over MAC, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Lancome, Prescriptives and Origens and has SEVER allergies AVON has done WONDERS on my skin! You don't have to believe me-research it yourself."
"Sorry I just got this question today. The thing about AVON is that YOU ARE getting the high-end Skin Care of the department store BUT you are paying the drug store price! AVON has a state of the art facility where they spend millions of dollars on research and most times they beat companies like Estee Lauder for 1st to market items. Also, with AVON you can usually try it before you buy it with samples and if you just by it first you can return it with no hassles. P.s.
